As late as the 18th century, La Tour sur Orb was named "La Tour de Brousson".
This charming town is a delightful destination for your holidays.
Attractive hiking paths, welcoming guest houses, excellent products from the farm (honey, wine, cheese and varieties of fruit) has enough to satisfy the most demanding.
La Tour sur Orb contains many remains of its middle age history: in the fortified village of Boussagues you can find several castles (XIIème in XVIlème century), and further out, eight chapels, churches and cloisters featuring ten centuries of religious architecture (visits and concerts in the chapels).
In spring, the captivating cherry orchard, (one of the most important of europ) give a surprising japonese ambiance to the « causse », the limestone plateau above the town. Up there you will also discover our dynamic air-club with nice planes. It recruits even Bédarieux’s enthousiasts.
La Tour sur Orb is one of those towns whose inhabitants have no specific name!
