The Commune of Les Aires is situated close to the Spa of Lamalou les Bains , it’s main resource is it’s Spring Water which has been known since 1861 as ‘ The Fountain of Health’. and has been bottled and marketed since 1984 as ‘Verniére’.
Hunting, fishing, and walking, attract nature lovers because Les Aires borders the river Orb for 8 kilometres.
There is a vestige of a medieval castle, St Michel de Mourcairol with it's Roman vault dominates the top of the village The annual pilgrimage of May 8 attracts many visitors. From the view- point you can admire the surrounding valleys and mountains.
